April is a shorter month with the April break happening. Be sure to pack your kids with the proper attire to head outside on a daily basis. (Let's hope we don't have anymore 30 degree days...)

Our basketball league will be winding down and playoffs will begin. At the end of the month, we will begin to choose the teams for the "End of the Year Olympics". Children have already been asking about it and are very excited to participate.

We will be having our 2nd Edition of the Newspaper come out in late May and children will start writing articles this month.

Hope everyone had a wonderful break.

It's finally spring! I hope everyone had a great spring break. We have had a long long winter! We made the best out of staying inside. We've gone camping, done a ton of messy projects, played many group games. We recently made a oceanic sensory bin which the kids love. We plan on making a dinosaur sensory bin and the kids couldn't be anymore excited about it. We are also ecstatic about being able to go outside everyday. The kids are so happy to be able to exert all their energy outside. Please make sure to send your child in the proper outside attire; jackets, sneakers, etc. Here's to a great April!

Warm weather is here! The children are very excited that the sun is out and we can begin using the playground again. This month we will be starting our Glenmont Olympics with paper airplane challenges and relay races. Our country of the month will be a surprise, and the children will have the opportunity to guess which country it is through activities and clues. Thank you to all of the parents that filled out surveys toward my accreditation process! Please check the lost and found located on the grey cart next to our parent table. There are lots of gloves, hats, and water bottles. Happy Spring!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their spring break and hopefully the warm weather is on its way! Our March Madness tournament is coming to an end, everyone has really enjoyed it. We'll be starting a wiffle ball tournament once the field outside is clear of the ice and snow. We're starting our 2nd edition of the Schools Out Newspaper. I've been receiving a ton of entries and everyone is super excited about it. The kids have been helping out with our lesson plans by creating their own! Our new country of the month is, Holland. Please, make sure you're sending the kids with appropriate gear for outdoor play.

Slingerlands is looking forward to Spring. Hopefully we’ll be able to stand going outside, so be sure to dress for it, (hats, gloves, snow pants, etc.). We will be having a leprechaun trap contest (so please send in shoe boxes, empty cereal boxes). The children are loving our “minute to win it” challenges. Check back for this weeks leaders.
